Life Without Kids

I'm childless for 3 weeks.  It's been a very strange feeling with the girls away for the past few days.  They are starting their school year with an adventure in Alaska with my parents.  Ahhh, the advantages of homeschooling.  I do hope they enjoy themselves.

As for here, it is very quiet.  I like the quiet.  But now, after 2 days of silence, even I wanted a tiny bit of noise.  So I just put on a CD of guitar music that the girls gave me for my birthday.  It's quite lovely!

Now that I'm caught up with errands, I think I shall go work on a bear.

  1. Miss Cheryl,

Now if you want noise, lots of it, frantic running around the house, singing at the top of our little teddy bear lungs - we could come and live with you while the girls are in Alaska.

Want us? Giggle, giggle, bet you will say "not those two", hahahahaha...To know us is to love us.

It's okay to miss the girls, but know that they are with loving Grandparents and enjoying themselves. Just think of all the adventures they will be telling you about.

Go, now and hug a teddy bear.

  2. Prudence and Sissy, you two are such dears, and I would LOVE for you to keep me company! However, I fear your Mom would miss you much too much. So, instead, my heart will be warmed by thinking of you.

  3. I used to live in Alaska... one of the most amazing states there is. Your girls will have a wonderful time! I hope they're taking the horseback ride tour through Denali Park!!!

  4. Unfortunately I don't think they'll be going horseback riding, but I'm sure they'll have fun regardless!

    Warmly,

  5. Enjoy your 'me' time while they're enjoying their adventure, you'll probably need to stock up on your energy for their return when they share all their tales with you!

  6. Adventures in Alaska... it sounds great, I'm sure they are enjoying it with the grandparents. And now you have time for your bears and for yourself.

  7. My little boy has just started creche and although I really looked forward to having a few hours to myself, I actually hate coming home to the very quiet and empty house.

  8. Sounds like a wonderful adventure for the girls Cheryl. Enjoy some "Me and Bear time" whilst they are away. Time goes so quickly, they'll be back before you know it. Take care.
