Gigglefest!

Matt was commissioned for a dance photo shoot this weekend so our dining room was completely transformed to a studio with black flooring, backdrop, and lots of BIG, BIG studio lights.  What's a family to do without a dining room for a weekend? Well, take portraits, of course!

Tickles and GIGGLES reigned!  While I was upstairs getting ready for my portrait (which I think turned out pretty well considering I don't tend to like any photos of me!), I chanced to overhear Matt laughingly "sigh" above the din of giggling from the girls, "If your mother were here...!"

In the end though, we finally got some lovely photos of the girls--and Bingley, too.  Me being me, I would have liked the girls to have "coordinated" a bit more, but I bit my tongue and decided that a photo of them in their favorite shirts made some sense.  It is just a photo for us to remember them by, anyways.

Matt also used the opportunity to come up with more dance poses for future shoots (dance photography is his specialty) with our willing little dancer (aka, our cookie-baker elf).  Here's one of our favorites from that.

In the end, we all decided that Livvy (the bear) was the most cooperative participant and Bingley the least!

Warmly,
Cheryl

  2. What great photographs. I love the one of you and your sweet bear. The girls photo is perfect with them casual and comfortable, and it is great to have one of them with the dog. And I am sure someday your daughter will be so happy to have the one of her as a dancer, she really looks beautiful.

  14. Thanks, Katy, Linda, and Lynda! As Matt is fond of saying--"no pixels were hurt during this photo shoot." Nope, you can take as many photos as you want and just delete what you don't want.
    Warmly,
    Cheryl

  18. Yes, Sandi, I'm VERY lucky to have a photographer in the family! He used to be purely a landscape photographer, but within the last few years has expanded into portraits. It's been good for him.
    Warmly,
    Cheryl
