ReplyDeleteCongratulations !
ReplyDeleteThank you for having such a wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYour creations are just absolutely stunning.
I have a question though, I was wondering how do you get your bears to stand? When I tried cotter pin jointing them, mine just plop right back down into sitting position.
Thanks,
Maggie
Hi Maggie! I joint my bears' limbs with nuts and bolts rather than cotter pins so that I can get the joint nice and tight (but not too tight!). I also have tweaked and tweaked my patterns so that the bears are fairly well balanced and I make sure that I don't put too much weight on the front or back of the bears when I'm stuffing them--I use a pouch of glass beads for weight.
ReplyDeleteI hope this helps!
Warmly,
Cheryl
Thanks for the reply Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteWould you mind pointing me to a place where I can learn to do nuts and bolt joints. I would love to be able to make a bear that's stands as beautifully as yours
